Statement of Faith
I believe in one God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, eternal and sovereign over all things. I believe that God’s original design for humanity was good and purposeful, including the union of one man and one woman as the foundation of human relationship and family.
I believe that through the fall of man, sin entered the world, and as a result, every person is born broken and in need of redemption. No one is exempt from this condition, and no one can earn their way out of it.
I believe that God, in His love and mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us, die on the cross for our sins, and rise from the dead. Through His sacrifice, Jesus made the free gift of salvation available to all people. This gift cannot be earned — it can only be received. I believe that accepting this gift, repenting of my sin, and turning toward God is the only path to redemption and restored relationship with Him.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Living God. Fully divine, risen, and reigning. I believe He will one day return to judge the living and the dead and to make all things new.
As a Baptist, I practice my faith through believer’s baptism, the authority of Scripture, and the community of the local church. I am infinitely blessed that I get to walk to church every Sunday with my little guy in tow.
